Bowel Preparation for Colonoscopy

There are steps that you, the patient, must take before having a
Colonoscopy to ensure the highest level of safety and effectiveness of the
procedure. |

Make arrangements to have someone drive you home after the
procedure. Colonoscopy involves sedation, you will not be allowed to leave
unaccompanied.

Fill your OsmoPrep prescription at least 5 days before your
Colonoscopy

The day before your procedure DO NOT EAT ANY SOLID FOOD,
remain on a clear liquid diet (broth, jello, tea, Gatorade, apple
sauce/juice, etc) NO RED BEVERAGES.

You will need to DRINK A LARGE AMOUNT OF FLUIDS THE DAY
BEFORE YOUR PROCEDURE TO AVOID DEHYDRATION.

Finish the entire bowel preparation, a poor preparation
reduces the effectiveness of the procedure.

Instructions to take
your OsmoPrep Bowel Preparation:
You will receive a total of 32 tablets and you will take them in
two regimens with the liquid of your choice

Starting at 3:00 pm the day before your colonoscopy take 4
OsmoPrep tablets with 10oz of fluid, and repeat every 15 minutes. You will
take 20 tablets in one hour.

At 9:00 pm the same day, take 4 OsmoPrep tablets with 10oz of
fluid every 15 minutes, until you finish the remaining 12 tablets.

After
you have completed taking the preparation, DO NOT EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING
AFTER MIDNIGHT.

Please note that a 48hr notice is required for surgical
cancellations. Failing to cancel your appointment will cause in a cancellation
fee of $100 applied to your account. |
